About Me
making an SUV accessible to small people

I had to buy a bigger vehicle to fit all of my kids in comfortably. When I was looking for a new vehicle, I knew that I had to get something that sits higher off the ground than a van, but knew that it would be difficult for myself and my younger children to get up into. I narrowed my list of potential vehicles down to three and started looking for accessories that I could use to make it possible for all of us to get in easily. Visit my blog to find out what we have done to our new SUV to make it more accessible and comfortable for the entire family.

Discover Recession-Proof Commercial Income In The Automotive Industry

Ellen Sakala

If you are interested in getting involved in the commercial aspect of the automotive industry, you might want to focus on businesses that would bring in recession-proof income. After all, there are a lot of businesses that take a big hit during a recession, but certain industries stay strong throughout. Take a little time to go over the following examples of recession-resistant commercial income in the automotive industry:

Automobile Repair Services

Whether it's a commercial or non-commercial vehicle, when repairs are needed, the work needs to be done no matter what is going on with the economy. Vehicles don't stop breaking down during a recession and it's during that time when people need a good working vehicle so they can continue to work and get everywhere else they need to be. Therefore, a commercial auto repair service is a good recession-proof business.

Vehicle Safety Inspection

Most states require automobile owners to have all of their vehicles go through a safety test. This test is required once every year. If the current inspection on a vehicle expires, it is no longer legal to operate it. If caught driving a vehicle with an expired safety inspection sticker, you could receive a large fine. Since this is a legal requirement, whether the country is in a recession or not, people will need to have their vehicles inspected. This is a service that is needed all year so it can be set up as a stand-alone business. This is also a service that can be added to your automotive repair business. Of course, you do not need to run a state inspection service if you have an auto repair company.

Shipping Automobiles

The shipment of automobiles is something that is needed by both car dealerships and individuals. For example, when someone is moving across the country and they have several vehicles, driving them to their new location usually isn't feasible. Even if they only have one vehicle, they might decide to take a plane instead of driving for a couple of days. They would need their automobiles shipped by a professional. Then there is the shipment of vehicles from the manufacturer to the car dealerships. This is a need that would still be present during a recession.

As you can see, there are some great recession-proof business opportunities within the automotive industry. Consider all of your choices so you can find the one that best suits you.
